The Columbus Library Foundation, established in 1971, continues to be a vital arm of the Columbus Public Library. The Library Foundation has been instrumental in raising funds for the library and providing stewardship of investments that benefit the library. The work of the Columbus Library Foundation has been consistently used for the benefit of the patrons of the Columbus Public Library.

Project Description

The Columbus Public Library Foundation is seeking funds for the construction of a new building in downtown Columbus. The facility will be home to the Columbus Public Library, the Columbus Arts Council, and a 350 seat auditorium. The people of Columbus will enjoy:

  • More square footage devoted to books, movies and more;
  • Improved and expanded areas for public computers; 
  • Learning, community meeting, and performace spaces;
  • Social interaction and reception areas;
  • An auditorium with space for large meetings, a small stage, and a projection area;
  • A larger children's room with dedicated program space and child-friendly facilities;
