How do I make a donation?
Donations to participating organizations can be made online at columbusbiggive.org from May 3 - midnight May 10 or in-person at select locations May 10.
How much of my donation will go to the nonprofit?
The nonprofit organization you choose to donate to will receive the full donation less a 2.2 percent cost for online processing through PayPal if made online. The Columbus Area Philanthropy Council takes no percentage of your gift and is run completely by volunteers.
Who is participating in the Columbus Big Give?
All verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are located in or serve the Columbus area are invited to participate in this event. Private foundations, political or governmental organizations, or places of worship are excluded from participating in this event.
Who/what is the Columbus Area Philanthropy Council?
The Columbus Area Philanthropy Council is an association of Columbus-area non-profit organizations focused on the development of a ‘culture of giving’ in the community to benefit the citizens and agencies of Platte County and the surrounding area for generations to come. Our goal is to increase giving to all local endowments and to help donors receive the joy and fulfillment of creating their legacy.
Will my donation be tax-deductible?
Yes. All organizations participating in the Columbus Big Give are verified 501(c)(3) organizations and will issue you a tax-deductible receipt following your gift.
